From Brad Nelson, the composer:
"When I was a kid, I was walking home from a friend's house on a Spring afternoon.  I recall a mood of contentment and happiness.  Quickly, it began to rain... there was no escape! ... I continued homeward.  After getting thoroughly wet, I began to enjoy the inevitable drenching!  After arriving home, a good book and a warm bath froze that memory in time!  'Spring Rain', a poem discovered in an old anthology of children's literature, brought this faded memory back into the present.  The musical mood is witty, playful...a little stressful, and ultimately... consonant!"
